Abstract:

Entrepreneurship is recognized as an important issue by the governments of Georgia and Kyrgyzstan. However, entrepreneurial education traditionally has been more accepted by business and private universities than public universities. Many attempts and initiatives have been focused primary on knowledge-based triangles and commercialization of research or high-tech results, completely missing innovation in curricula and attention to students universities lack the capacity to equip their students with entrepreneurial skills.

EucaInvest takes on the need for more formal and non-formal education activities aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial capacity of students and graduates. It aims to develop a co-creative and supportive environment in partner HEIS through the establishment of CreaLabs, which are supposed to encourage students’ entrepreneurial spirit and at the same time support social innovation in collaboration between companies and universities. The core idea is to encourage students and young researchers to actively use their intellectual potential to generate innovative ideas with the necessary infrastructure and technical and human support. Additionally, students from the targeted countries have the chance to participate in workshops in Portugal and the Czech Republic to visit young start-up companies and see best practice examples in motion.
