Quality Development in Studies and Teaching

Quality development in teaching and learning at the Faculty of Human Sciences is continuously concerned with the aspects of securing and developing the quality of academic teaching and studyability. In doing so, we are always in exchange with the central quality officers of the OVGU, the decentralised faculty quality officers of the other faculties as well as external experts from other universities and professional practice in order to ensure the qualitative development of the study programmes. The quality development system provides an appropriate framework, systematised processes, and instruments for this exchange.

Since 2019, OVGU has been the first university in Saxony-Anhalt to be system-accredited by the Accreditation Council. The certified internal university quality development system secures, reviews, and develops processes and structures in studies and teaching.

Study programmes of the OVGU that go through and actively apply the university-internal quality management system are accredited by the system accreditation of the OVGU. The instruments of the OVGU quality development system include the implementation of regular study programme discussions and study programme conferences, the systematic evaluation of data and the monitoring of quality criteria.

On this page you will find information as well as documents and templates on the implementation of quality management in studies and teaching at the FHW. Further information on quality development at the OVGU can be found on the StellWerks homepage.
